![]() Pair him with an offensive Tank and you've got slow but steady damage. Picard is almost overpowered with all the buffing he gives the group, although his offensive is lackluster. ![]() Spock can make bosses run away in 2 attacks, not to mention his guaranteed stun, which is awesome. Morale is a huge deal as well, but I ignored this for much of the earlier difficulties and levels. I always loved Data for his scan but it comes so late in the fight. I have found for example, that Spock is ridiculously strong because he can scan a group as his first attack, which then leaves them ripe for crits from your engineer, tank or command officer's area of effect or big attacks. Mechanics can wipe out enemies quite easily. I've seen it floating around that only skills/abilities matter and that's not untrue, but rarity matters hugely at the higher difficulties and episodes.Īnother thing is that later on, playing smarter is better than just trying to wipe out everything, which is what the "early groups" do very well. IMHO, this means that rarity absolutely matters, exponentially so later on. I've been lucky with synergizing 2 of the same type and still managing to complete the whole thing. As long as you can get through that path successfully, you're good to go. If it later needs a 3750 science officer, same thing. So, if a "path" is locking you out because it requires an engineer with 3750 power, you can just bring 2 engineers to unlock that path. Incidentally, you can also use 2 of a type to unlock the path to get to 100%. No regrets, but that's when I decided to do things differently. Think about that 5 Ranks and 7 levels lower and still more powerful. Laforge is at 3489 (Rank 7) at level 86 while Scott is at 3635 (Rank 2) at just level 76. For example, my Riker (Rank 5) is now at 3612 lvl 90 which is just below the 3615 he needs to unlock a path for me in Episode 5 for me. He may be a special unlock instead of a summon.įor just flying through the content, my non-stop group was Riker, Odo (Tank that takes all the hits from the rest of the group), Data or Laforge and Mccoy but I found that as of Episode 5, getting to 100% completion isn't easy at all. I have chosen to level legendary over epic, over very rare over rare depending on what I have and luckily I've managed to summon 59 of 60 (damn "The Doctor!"). You'll find that eventually, it's much better to spend resources leveling the epic (if there are a lack of legendaries in the field, like medical) and legendary characters regardless of implied feasibility due to skill (I'll explain this later on). The issue with Rare and Very Rare characters is that they need to be really highly leveled to hit the power necessary to unlock paths in the various chapters of the episodes. I've hit 100 on 2 chapters and 84-90% on another 2 on Episode 5 and am being limited right now to the power values of my characters. I've beaten extreme as well and am in the same 'starship' as you (heh!) except that I'm waffling getting 100s on the last Episode. This should carry you through all of the missions even if it says CATASTROPHIC or HIGH risk, Worf is almost unkillable under these circumstances On my squad I currently have 7 of 9 for the extra shield to survive any random garbage and I've used Phlox/Bones/Hughie to great effect. He will deal insane amounts of damage on every counter and have a nuke for bosses every third turn. All you need to do is taunt with Worf, Cloak with Tomalak and his is almost invincible even without the heals. Obviously you want to upgrade all of Worfs gear and particles, I'd recommend shield and heal on first turn. The others doesn't matter as long as you can keep Worf topped up on HP and just deal damage to the others. I used this team to beat everyone basically on auto or minimal attention:Īll you need is Worf and Tomalak, and either a healer or DPS of your choice.įor Worf: you need his counter and taunt thats it. Just wanted to share in case people were stuck like I was for a while.
